These designs are truly in a class by themselves. The entire system is infinitely variable. It works incrementally harder as the day warms up and slows down to a literal idle as it cools down. All American A/C equipment turns off or on. That's like having an on/off switch on the dash of your car instead of a gas pedal and trying to maintain 60 mph going down the highway. 400 horse power wide open acceleration or engine off. If cars where made like that they'd be lucky to get 5 miles per gallon. Mitsubishi heat pumps are variable too and extract solar heat from the outside air even on very cold days – delivering 80% of rated heating at down to -13 degrees below zero. Typical American heat pumps will kick in the electric heating strips at 35 above zero causing your electric meter to gyrate like a child's toy. The Mitsubishi ultra low starting current requirements and built in inverter circuitry also make it a perfect choice for back-up generator applications.

#3 Reliability. Mitsubishi equipment is just built better. Japanese products have tighter manufacturing tolerances, strictest quality control and efficiently run factories that result in a product repeatability that is a pleasure for the contractor and customer alike.
